Briarlake Foundation (BESF) Purpose

The Purpose of the Briarlake Foundation is to  raise money to help fund strategic long term goals for Briarlake Elementary School and to provide funding in areas for which the PTA and School Council are unable to provide for. The Foundation can:
 
  • Apply for, and receive private and corporate donations;
  • Accrue assets and earn interest on deposits;
  • Fund large-scale site improvements;
  • Manage funding for multi-year project improvements;
  • Directly benefit teachers by paying for teacher or personnel support salaries, conferences or to receive additional certifications, and performance grants.

Who is The Foundation?
You are the Foundation. Parents, teachers, administration and our community are integral parts of the Foundation. An elected board of volunteers serve to help facilitate fundraising and distribute funds to maximize donations. The Foundation works along side of our partners, the PTA and Principal Advisory Committee, to help support the teachers, staff and administration of Briarlake Elementary School. The Foundation supports funding for larger and long-term projects, and resources that will enhance the educational experience of our students.

The 2021-22 Foundation is led by a dedicated board of volunteers.
