Resources
Instructional Technology Coach
The Briarlake Foundation funded the school's Instructional Technology Coach, who works with both students teachers to advance capabilities around educational technology. Hired in the fall of 2014, Amy Sery helps our teachers elevate their lessons and classrooms through innovations in technology. She also coaches students K-5 in the use of laptops, tablets and various apps. This part-time position is funded for two years solely from donations made to the Briarlake Foundation.
Ms Sery has now joined Briarlake elementary school as a full time employee, splitting her time between teaching art as well as continuing the efforts she started as the school's first instructional technology coach.

In 2015, the Briarlake Elementary School Foundation reached its financial goal and was able to send our Instructional Technology Coach, Ms. Sery, to a Technology Conference in the fall. As technology and innovations are rapidly changing, we feel it is important to support her ongoing education and advancement, so she is able to share emerging trends and technology with our curious students.
Additionally, the Briarlake Elementary Foundation was able to provide tablet protectors for the school's new iPads, and other equipment and accessories needed to make this technology available to our students.
